What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and name through Clerk, our authentication provider. When you upload audio or artwork, those files are stored in Cloudflare R2. When you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment — we never store your card details. We collect basic usage data to operate the platform such as which shows you've created and how much storage you've used.

What we never do

We never sell your data to third parties. We never share your personal information with advertisers. We never track your listeners' personal data. We never bill you based on download volume — we have no incentive to monitor or store that information. CrossCast products are ad-free. Your content is yours, always.

Your podcast content

All audio files, artwork, descriptions, and episode metadata you upload remain your property. CrossCast stores this content solely to provide the hosting and distribution service you've signed up for. We do not claim any ownership or licensing rights over your content. You can export or delete your content at any time.

Third-party services

CrossCast uses the following third-party services to operate: Clerk for authentication and user management, Cloudflare R2 for audio and image storage, Stripe for payment processing, and Railway for database hosting. Each of these providers has their own privacy policy which governs how they handle data on our behalf.

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the platform securely. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We do not use third-party analytics that track you across other websites.

Data retention and deletion

If you cancel your account, your content and personal data will be deleted within 30 days. You can request immediate deletion through our contact page. Stripe may retain transaction records as required by law for financial compliance purposes.
